Central spine staircases

Our bespoke or modular central spine staircases are created from an unrivalled variety of styles and materials brought together to enhance the room where the staircase will be situated. Thus providing a flowing transition between all floors of your property.

The central spine is the main carriage to support the stair and its loadings between the floors of your property and provides a stunning feature within your home or office and doubles up to provide the stair treads with support. The central spine can be formed from standard steel box section as standard yet we have a double blade of steel to create a more open look or if you prefer a more creative approach we can form the spine in hand carved wood of several different species to create the spine or cast alloys so that it looks more like a skeletal spine with an organic style very much like the spine of a human in terms of looks.

Designers love to twist the realms of possibilities and in doing so the balustrade to provide the safety to you the user is a never ending in terms of the materials and appearance, colour and texture from solid closed in looks to illuminated ultra clear glass we enhance the space for your total enjoyment and safe passage.

Finishes to our staircases are not restricted to only paint we can provide steel, stainless steel or alloy castings or the hand carved wooden spines with a totally bespoke colour matching service also being available.

The stair treads do not always have to be in wood they can be created in many differing materials such as glass, resin, stainless steel or leather. Colours and textural finishes are really only just the beginning of what is possible. Please ask for further details.
